My wife and I saw the LR movie at the dollar show about three weeks ago. We both enjoyed it. I thought that the plot was solid. It was obvious that they spent a lot of monie to make it. I'll actually say it's a great movie. Now before anyone thinks that I have lost my mind, I have a lot of criticisms. The Lone Ranger was made to look like a buffoon and I did not like it one bit. Tonto qualified as an A-1 jerk. When a Christian lady on the train referenced the Bible, TLR pointed to a law book and said that that was his Bible. The Clayton Moore LR never would've done that. He had great respect for the Bible and believers.Christians in general were portrayed as narrow-minded bigots. This gets tiresome. Contrast this with the respect paid to the beliefs of Tonto. Johnny Depp seems as though he had an axe to grind. I had never seen Depp in a movie before and found that he is a talented actor. I wish that Hollywood would leave their beliefs and politics out of plots.Earlier I said that it was a great movie. I would not say, however, that it was a great Lone Ranger movie.(This post is not finished and I will periodically add to it.)
