I went to the Wonder Con in San Francisco back in March. Wonder Con is run by the same people who run the Comic Con. There were no sessions related to the
Green Hornet movie. The dealers on the floor sell mostly what sells like hot cakes these days which are DC and Marvel comic stuff. There were a few dealers
that sold pulp magazines and one dealer that had a few old Green Hornet movie serial pictures. The Wonder Con is primarily designed to showcase the movies that
studios will be releasing in the current Spring and Summer seasons. For example they had a panel discussion for the Star Trek movie which was released just a
couple of weeks ago.
Comic Con on the other hand is designed to showcase the movies that will be shown next Summer (summer of 2010). I believe Comic Con 2009 is the next important milestone for the Green Hornet movie. If they have anything important to show or say about the movie, it must be in this show. I have looked at the web page for Comic Con 2009 but they have not published the list of special events and panel discussions. I believe most of the important panel discussions will be on Friday and Saturday. Of course I am assuming that there will be no SAG strike and the movie finally gets the green light to start shooting. We will see what does or does not happen by then.
