Time has been a bit short the last couple of months, so I haven't been able to get much work done model-wise. I did snag this on eBay, though:

It's the 1/24 scale Watchmen Owl Ship (aka "Archie") by DC Direct. No interior detail, but otherwise I think they did a great job with it.

OK, so it wasn't the greatest movie of all time, but I still enjoyed it. The model is based on Jada's 1/24 Coupe DeVille with a corrected stance, wheel swap, and some repainting and trim work:

Hi guys,

I've been flat-out on this one too- as it happens the recent interest in the Rocket cropped up at exactly the right time, as I finished building my own plastic injection press a month or so ago, and machining a die to make a seat for the Rocket fitted in with one of my existing molds which I made cylindrical to make wheel and tire blanks.

Instead of having to make the entire new mold from scratch, which is difficult and time consuming...

Started this one a while ago but soon realised that I'd goofed with the scaling of it!
It goes back to when I first attempted a Pink Panther by machining from solid. I looked at Fate's Rocket and realised that the main body of the car could be made almost entirely by turning with only the cockpit aperture needing milling and...

For those who may have missed out on the 1/24 scale BTTF DeLoreans back when they first came out, the new FuRyu releases are indeed repops of the Welly cars. They look to be identical, right down to the copyright information on the chassis.
